CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Following is an overview of the activities we are planning for our wedding weekend.

Thursday, July 5th
The current thinking is to organize a tour of Swedish glass makers in the morning for those interested.  It would visit glassmakers like Orrefors and Kosta Boda. For more information on this Swedish specialty, check out this site: SWEDISH GLASS MAKING INFORMATION.

Later on in the afternoon, we are planning a brief tour of the city of Karlskrona, followed by a harbor tour, and ending with dinner at the Karlskrona Naval Museum KARLSKRONA NAVAL MUSEUM INFORMATION .

Friday, July 6th
The ideal day will began with a choice of golf or a hike, followed by lunch.  After this, everyone who doesn’t have to rehearse for the wedding can simply relax.

In the evening, everyone will have a chance to better get to know each other over a casual picnic and some games somewhere around Karlskrona.  It will be an early evening so that you’ll be well rested for the next day.

The dress code is casual (jeans, shorts, sandals…).  Note that weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside.

Saturday, July 7th
The wedding ceremony will take place this afternoon at Bubbetorp, about 10-15 minutes by bus north of Karlskrona.  The busses will have you leaving Karlskrona at around 3pm.  The ceremony will be followed by a dinner and celebration.  For those interested in ushering the early morning sun, a breakfast bonfire is possible.

Sunday, July 8th
At around 11am, brunch will be served back at Bubbetorp.
Dress code is casual.
